“Hi! This is Laura Marot, a watercolor, acrylic, and oil painter and surface pattern designer. I hail from a small town near the foothills in North Carolina! Art has been my passion since receiving an art set as a kid. Although my grandpa couldn't draw due to his shakes, he loved mentoring me in my early art journey as an 11-year-old. Now as a wife and mom, art continues to be an important element of the adventure. Whether hiking scenic vistas, exploring the best zoos and national parks, camping, or traveling, I'm always on the lookout for my next painting and pattern inspiration.”

FUN FACTS:

  1. I'm a big fan of exquisite chocolate truffles!
  2. Trips to national parks, state parks, zoos, and botanical gardens are my favorite sources of painting inspiration.
  3. My husband loves coffee, and I was a tea only girl... but he is slowwwly modifying my tastes :)
  4. Speaking of my husband, Caleb is also an artist and the web coder for my brand!
  5. Watercolor is my favorite art medium for small pieces: I never thought I'd say those words! I used to love everything EXCEPT watercolor, but that was before I tried them...
